Sultry blues and soulful grit have earned Kelli a name at the top of the blues game and The Boneheads are a rock and roll blues powerhouse!

Drawing striking comparisons to Christina Aguilera with the stage presence of Robert Plant and Joe Cocker, Kelli Baker brings major acclaim wherever she goes.

Known in some circles as “The Phoenix,” Kelli Baker, was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She moved to New York in 2012, quickly becoming a vibrant presence in the city’s music scene. Her journey began in the church choir, later evolving into fronting a hard rock band, forming a folk duo, and finally, honing her craft in New York’s renowned blues jams.

Recently she supported Mike Zito on a week of shows in Florida and took first place in Nashville’s “Blues Revival 615”, judged by Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Albert Cummings, and Derek St. Holmes. She also achieved the #1 Blues Song on the Roots Music Report with her rendition of “Dr. Feelgood (Love is a Serious Business)” and won the Long Island/Brooklyn/Queens division of the International Blues Challenge.

Kelli was recently honored by National Women in Blues in Memphis. She headlined the Women of the Blues Fest in McIntosh, MN, and the Paxico Blues Fest in Paxico, KS, which attracted 5,000 attendees. This September, she returned to Paxico to open for GRAMMY-nominated artist Danielle Nicole.

Kelli has swiftly moved through the ranks of New York’s bristling music scene to become a nationally known name and formidable player in the game. She has been featured in Relix Magazine, Guitar Girl Magazine, and countless others.

The Boneheads have kept true to the roots while emerging from the Toronto music scene. The award-winning band brings a refreshment of blues-tinged rock ‘n’ roll, combining old school and modern influences with the likes of Howlin’ Wolf, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and The Black Keys.

They have built up their local reputation quickly as winners of Music Group (Emerging) at the 2024 Mississauga Arts Awards and Best New Group at the 2023 Mississauga Music Awards. The group has seen success outside their hometown as well, landing many festival performances and opening for major Canadian rock artists The Glorious Sons and JJ Wilde.

Their latest single Ride made its radio debut on 94.9 The Rock FM as part of the Generation Next segment. Also featured on The Music Jerks radio show, the song was described as “a huge, stadium-worthy sound and stellar melodies. While the style is commercially viable, it’s still gritty and edgy.”
